This accelerates the production of replacement cells thereby minimising the possibility of scar tissue and proud flesh.

Comfrey accelerates the normal healing process that minimises scarring, heals adhesions, for bone degenerations, spurs, nodules and calcifications. Its allantoin content stimulates the production of connective tissue needed for bone formation and the healing of all damaged tissues especially bones. This also stimulates the retarded development of all types and aids the knitting of fractured or broken bones. It is a valuable herb that encourages the natural healing processes and speeds up the formation of new bone cells. It has been found to break down red blood cells; this supports its use on bruises.

It can be used for: broken bones, bruises, bruised soles, cartilage and soft connective tissues damage, deformities, degenerative joint disease, dislocations, fractures, hard bony growths, joint pain, laminitis, to encourage ligaments to knit together, ligament damage, aching and tired muscles and muscle injuries, pulled muscles, muscle tension and wastage, musculoskeletal disorders, splints, tendon damage, and ulcerations and it may assist arthritic and rheumatic pain and inflammation.
